Product Description

These bulbs are from our premium line, with a color spectrum rating of 6500 kelvin which is equivalent to daylight spectrum, hence the flower, and "Daylight" nomenclature on the packaging. As a point of reference most normal CFLs only have a 2700 kelvin rating, well under half the color rating that this premium bulb provides. GE Energy Smart. The Smarter Way to Save Energy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super white light, March 1, 2008

This review is from: 2-Pack Daylight GE 60 Watt Equivalent Compact Fluorescent CFL
I just installed six of these 15-watt fluorescent bulbs in my kitchen ceiling. They produce a beautiful, bright white light, far superior to the GE 13-watt fluorescents' dimmer, yellowish light (SKU 085-02-0514). Of course, the dimmer bulbs (870 lumens) last 12,000 hours, compared to 8,000 for the Daylight 6500K. The dimmer bulbs are also smaller and use only 13 watts. But 8,000 hours is still a long time, 15 watts is still very little, and the light is terrific. My only complaint is about the plastic packaging. GE should find a more eco-friendly way to package its eco-friendly bulbs. It sells other bulbs in 5-packs that use no plastic packaging.
