Product Description

2 Pots of Areca Palm Seedlings The indoor plant that outputs the most humidity is the Areca Palm. It releases copious amount of moisture into the air, removes environmental toxins, and is tolerant of indoor spaces. Definitely one of the most useful and attractive houseplants. Feather-like green fronds radiating from several trunks characterize the Areca Palm. Requires bright indirect light so keep it within 5 to 8 feet from a sunny window. The Areca Palm requires heavy watering; however do not allow the plant to sit in water because this could lead then to root rot. 2 photographs. First photo showing 7-inch seedlings which will be shipped in their pots. Second photo showing a mature Areca palm. Ships 10-14 days. 3-5 seedlings per pot. Do not seperate.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice plants, July 20, 2011

This review is from: 2 Pots of Areca Palm Seedlings
I made the mistake of ordering these plants in the middle of winter. There was a heat pack included that was to last 72 hours, but by the time the package had arrived, it was cold for 24 hours. I live in Iowa, so the plants sat out in the cold on my front steps for about 8 hours in below freezing temperatures.

The plants looked healthy when they arrived, but I don't think they stood a chance in the cold. I would order them again, just not in the winter.
