This is the best toaster I've had in years. It toasts to the exact degree of "brownness" that I want, and it also adjusts for bagels.

This is an excellent toaster! It browns evenly... I have no complaints. Toastmaster knows how to make toast!

The toaster works fine. I would like to have the slots a little deeper to handle large loaves, but this is not a major problem. The bagle/english muffin setting 9is a good idea (turning off the middle heat so that only one side gets toasted

This toaster is fantastic for the price! It looks very high end and perfectly matches my modern steel appliances. The push button pop up is also a very nice feature. LOVE my new toaster! Try it and you won't be disappointed.

This is the first toaster I've bought in a couple of years that actually toasts as dark as I like, but very inconsistently. Sometimes it toasts, sometimes too light, and sometimes burned and unevenly. The manufacturer problem I found is that they've inverted the heating elements for bagels. So, you need to put the bagel in with the outsides together not the cut sides - with the cut sides facing out. My last toaster, a $70 model, took 3 rounds turned all the way up to get the toast toasted, so this may be an improvement.

After going through several modern toasters, we seem to always revert back to our old Toastmaster. When that finally gave out, we purchased this one, hoping Toastmaster would live up to its name. Although it is not as well-made as our old one, it seems to toast bread and operate well;however, we don't expect it to last as long as the old one did.

The toast sometimes pops WAY up so beware!

Made of very light plastic contruction and weighing in at 2 1/2 lbs, this toaster shouts "cheap". The toaster does toast well and evenly. The side supports are spring loaded and keep the bread centered. The darkness adjust knob is adjustable from 1 - 5. However, I don't understand the designers of this adjustment since I use a setting of "1.5" to get nice brown toast. Makes you wonder what a setting of "5" would do. I have not used the defrost or reheat settings. The bagel setting turns off the inside elements for one sided toasting. A major problem: the slots are too shallow. large bagels and standard loaf bread slices do not go all the way down, leaving a small but noticable light edge along the top. If I had to do it over, I would buy a different model.

I bought this as a gift for my father. It did not work from the beginning. No matter what we tried, the toaster would not brown evenly. I had to call customer support to get a new one. Hopefully, the replacement will work better.

Does not toast bread consistently--burns part of toast while other part is hardly toasted. Handle broke after about 1 month's of use. Even before the handle broke, it would often not put the toast down-- handle had to be pushed over and over again. Don't buy this toaster!
