The rake does adjust from 24 to 8 inches. It's very nice for getting into tighter spaces. Mine broke while raking in one of the tight spots. The rake seperated where the base of the teeth attach to the adjustable clamp. I was able to feed it back through and clamp it down tigher using some pliers.

I didn't know if I would like this one when I first purchased this rake, but after using it I just love it. Easy to collapse to thinner width to get into tight areas. Then it readjusts quickly and effortlessly back to the original width. The handle collapses for easy storage or for use in tighter areas. Great design.

Saw this in some high-end gardening magazine, and purchased it from Amazon.com. Why? Well, it's got great modern design aesthetics (never thought I'd say that about a humble garden tool), and it does the job in my backyard, which is chockfull of curved raised beds and flagstones. Light enough to use for an hour without tiring, yet sturdy enough to gather the leaves.

The rake is what I expected and it came in a timely manner.
Every thing was just fine.

I had been wishing for a tool just like this and found it! It's very versatile and it's great for reaching into small places, but it is too heavy (much heavier than any other full-size rake I have). I should have compared the weight of this rake with others that may have been available for purchase, but this one seems very well constructed.

No need to own multiple width rakes! This handy rake will tackle all your raking jobs with ease! I like how it adjusts easily to fit between plants and rows. It's very light weight, but yet sturdy and strong too (nice heavy duty tines). The wide 24" setting allows me to quickly rake up the many leaves in my yard...and the narrow 8" is perfect for cleaning-up and raking around all my plants, as not to harm them. This rake is great, I can adjust it to any size and make it fit in smaller spaces for raking, whereas a regular rake can't fit in tight spaces. Plus I can collapse it all the way for easy storage, takes up little room in the garage. The best rake to own.
