With a 2 Year Protection Plan for Kindle Fire HD 8.9”, you will receive protection against accidental damage such as drops or spills for up to two years. In the 2nd year, your coverage extends to protect against failures that occur during normal operation. This helps avoid the inconvenience and costs associated with a broken device. The plan stays with the device even if it is gifted or sold to another party.

  • Coverage Against Accidents
    Accidental Damage covers any accidents that happen during normal use of the product. While most service plans cover basic mechanical malfunction only, this plan covers your Kindle Fire HD 8.9” for accidental mishaps such as drops, liquid spills, cracked screens and other human errors for up to 2 years. Please refer to the actual plan terms and conditions for a complete description of the coverages.
  • Express Replacement
    Should your Kindle Fire HD 8.9” need to be replaced, we will ship a replacement unit to you along with a prepaid shipping label for you to send the defective unit back to us. No shipping fees apply.
  • Battery Replacement
    One-time claim for battery malfunction in the second year of coverage.
  • Customer Service Support
    Customer service support is available from 6 am to 10 pm (PST) - call (877) 441-3836.
  • Returns & Refunds
    Customers may cancel their contract at any time for any reason if they have not filed a claim. If the contract is cancelled within 90 days of the date purchased and does not have a claim the customer will receive a refund of the full purchase price of the contract. If the contract is cancelled thereafter and there are no claims, the customer will be refunded the remaining days of coverage on a monthly prorated basis.
  • No Deductibles or Shipping Fees
    No hidden fees, you will not be required to pay a deductible or shipping fees for claims or replacements.
  • Your Contract will be Emailed to You
    After purchasing a plan you will receive your contract via email within 24 business hours and a paper copy via US mail within 7 business days.
  • Fully Transferable
    Your coverage is fully transferable at no cost. Simply call (877) 441-3836 and an agent will walk you through the process.
  • What's Covered
    From day one, you will have protection for accidental damage such as drops, spills or cracked screens. In the first year, the manufacturer warranty covers electrical and mechanical failures. I don't know if you really need this but since I purchased the Kindle HD 8.9" for my wife, I wanted something to insure she could replace it if dropped. This plan covers accidental drops by her or Grandkids. Although I purchased it at the same time I purchased the Kindle, the plan doesn't start until after the Kindle's 90 day warranty, so this is a big plus.

I placed this order on 12/8/2012 and had not yet received the item as of 12/27/2012. I contacted Service Net and within 12 hours I received the warranty via email and they are mailing me another copy. The original mailing may have gotten lost due to the Holidays or the hurricane, I don't know. All I can say is Service Net Solutions impressed me with their product and responsiveness and were very professional. I would gladly buy another product from them in the future. Not a lot to say about an extended warranty plan other than past experience with plan and customer service. Both have been excellent and I would recommend purchasing this for any of the Kindles, just in case. We had an accident a few years ago with first Kindle reader after about a month and replacement was on its way the next day. Customer service reps have always been very helpful and friendly.

I never thought I'd have to use it and my wife thought it was a waste of money but when some pixels failed on the device (I had a bunch of white dots on the screen), I called Amazon and had a replacement Kindle within 2 days. The process was hassle-free and worth every cent. Because I was able to return the failing product, the warranty is still good until the end of the term. Definitely worth peace of mind knowing I don't have to spend another $359 or more on a replacement. Amazon customer service is top-notch!

Had to use it again when the charging port broke. Called AMAZON. They saw I had the extended warranty and put a brand new one in the mail. Got it in 2 days. Came with a return box. I printed out a return label and sent it off. No hassles and service was prompt. Totally worth the money.

I called the number on the protection plan on Monday morning and on Tuesday afternoon my new kindle was here. When your filing a claim you don't feel as if this protection plans says it cover accidents but gives you the run about which accidents it covers. when you file a claim it quick and painless

I just got off of the phone with their customer service and in 2 days I will have my replacement. They did want a credit card to hold on file in case I do not send my busted one back to them. It was as simple as that. No real hold on the phone, no trouble understanding the person on the other line. No debating if my 1 year old and my 3 year old playing frisbee with my Kindle was covered. Just verify my ID, take my address and CC info and expect my replacement in 2 days. A confirmation email let me know that I get three uses of the insurance, I'll definitely take better care from here on out, but no complaints about the product I'm reviewing.

My kindle broke after 5 months and I called the company who I purchased this plan from to get a replacement. They told me the plan should never have been mailed to me as I ordered it after 30 days of purchase. I was amazed as I paid $79.99 for the plan, they accepted my money and they sent me a contract that had the effective dates. The contract was properly purchased and said that it was valid for two years. I spent two days researching the fine print in the contract. The company admitted that there was nothing in the contract that would void them paying for the new Kindle. However they declined to replace it as they said it was purchased beyond a 30 day purchase period? I cannot believe that i purchase this plan and they did not honor the written contract. PLEASE READ THE POSTIVE FEEDBACK CLOSELY. IT WAS LEFT BY PEOPLE WHO NEVER HAD TO USE THE COVERAGE. IF YOU HAVE THE COVERAGE AND YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE KINDLE BE PREPARED FOR A NIGHMARE! THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY WITH NO INTEGRITY THAT DOES NOT STAND BY ITS CONTRACT. DONT BUY THIS!!!! ITS OWNED BY AIG. NEED I SAY MORE...
