Before buying I asked the vendor about the composition of the wire since I needed these to carry a lot of current. They actually responded that the wire seemed to be a mixture of aluminum and copper, and now I know that was very honest and accurate. Of course, copper is the holy grail of conductivity and also expensive. The offshore manufacturer makes the cable in a way to show mostly copper and spins it together VERY loosely to fluff it up to look like 2 gauge, but I would dispute that. The strong clamps use copper PLATED steel, so there were corners cut. I wanted the deal of the century but got just what I paid for!

When I read the reviews, they were grousing about whether they were actually copper. I don't know, but I can tell you this, they are copper colored all the way trough each strand. I was concerned that the clamps wouldn't work well on GM side terminal batteries. They work great on them. When you connect to the dead vehicle, you don't need to wait for the battery on the dead car to charge for 5 minutes etc. The car will spin over just as though your battery were in that car. You won't be disappointed with the quality of the cable, cable covering, the clamps, or the performance.

Heavy duty cables, extra long 20', so you can use for any hard to reach application without loosing the the current draw, like some other cheaper cables.

Heavy Duty Cable with High Tension Claw style terminal clips hold on tight and do not slip off like most other clamps. No power loss while jumping one battery to another. These Jumper Cables are the highest quality I have ever seen. Price is a little more expensive than most cables, but OH SO well worth the money. I'm completely satisfied with this purchase.

It's a shame you get the 25 ft. package for less money than the 20 ft. costs. After the first purchase, I get to the next package deal which charged me for shipping, when I could have just ordered 25 ft. packages. So I would appeciate a refund of my shipping costs. Please just quit emailing me if you cannot do busines correctly.
