DON RENO IS WELL KNOWN BUT PERHAPS NOT WELL KNOWN ENOUGH. THESE SONGS ARE AMPLE PROOF THAT HE WAS DOING THE 3 FINGER STYLE WITH PRECISION NEAR THE SAME TIME AS EARL SCRUGGS. THIS IS A GREAT ALBUM THAT SHOWS THE GREAT VOCAL HARMONY AND GREAT MUSICIANSHIP OF DON RENO AND RED SMILEY. THEY BOTH PASSED AWAY MANY YEARS AGO BUT THERE MUSIC WILL ALWAYS LIVE ON!

Classic Bluegrass,

I was weaned on this album in vinyl. The CD lets the vocals and instruments shine. This is a must have for bluegrass lovers. I am finally ordering my own copy, thanks Pop for letting me listen to yours!

great bluegrass music from two pioneers,

The names Reno and Smiley should be enough to persuade anyone to buy this cd. Bluegrass like it should be from two original pioneers. I believe this should be a part of any bluegrass music lover collection.
