Pedro Infante was born in Mexico in 1917, the singer, musician and actor's musical success came from his performances of mariachi and ranchera music. In a prolific career he recorded over 300 songs, the first of which was released in 1943. Amongst his most popular recordings are "Amorcito Corazón", "Corazón" and "Maldita Sea Mi Suerte". Pedro Infante was and continues to be, in a small group of Mexican artists that laid the ground work for others that followed. He had the looks, voice and talent that comes naturally to some people. He could act (was in numerous films). Women, young and old literally fainted. Men admired his machismo. The songs in this compilation were chosen well. They reflect Mexico's love of music as penned by the authors.

This compilation CD is affordable and it has over a dozen classic Pedro Infante songs. The CD has alternate versions of 'Amorcito Corazon' and 'Yo No Fui'(the versions not used in the films Nosotros Los Pobres and A Toda Maquina).
