About the Author
Marina Warner is a writer, critic and historian. She is the author of three acclaimed studies of mythology and four novels, including the Booker-shortlisted The Lost Father. She gave the 1994 Reith Lectures on the theme of iconography and mythology, now published as Managing Monsters by Vintage. She broadcasts regularly on radio and television and is a frequent contributor to newspapers.

Superficial Guidebook,

Don't expect too much from this little guidebook. It's the kind of thing you would buy before making a quick stroll through the museum. Superficial at best, but worth a couple of bucks because it jams a lot of curious facts into a small space.
