Oh, wow!,

This album by Bill Cosby was originally released in September of 1968. The first side of the album (remember when albums had "sides"?) featured four short routines about family and pets. These are funny, but the true highlight of the album is side two. Side two is a 23 minute routine about the ultimate sports car, which was custom built for Cos and could go over 200 M.P.H. (oh, wow). Presumably this story is not a true one, but it's an extremely funny one. Well worth getting for fans of Cos.

I remembered listening to the album with my friends when we were in Junior High School in the early 70's. We couldn't stop laughing! Over the years I mentioned it to my son (who's now 16). After exposing him to other Cosby performances on video and then live I found this CD. Now we laugh listening to it once in a while when driving. This is a classic Cosby performance from his younger days when driving fast and reminiscing about his own childhood were the main parts of his act, right around the Fat Albert years.
