Generally 80's is said "idol age" for music fans. Most representative idols will be Seiko Matsuda and Akina Nakamori. There were many girl idols as well as them. Yoko Minamino mainly was active as a idol on the latter of 80's. Her debut was by single record"Hazukashi sugite" at 1985. Though she was active as a actor, cm character etc as well as a singer, it would be as a singer to display most her charms. If I say about his ability as a singer, that was not the level that we could be satisfied with. But voice itself was very charming, tender, whispering, heartwarming..
AS the character on her songs, there are fantasy, the theme including four seasons. therefore, though many digital music instruments, most popular items on 80's Japanese music scene, were used on her songs, on the other hand, many strings instruments including violins and violas were used to display the fantasy into her songs. Her sound makers made much of air type effect like Reverb, Delay. The influence was in a person, a music composer Mitsuo Hagita, who liked analog and air effect music making especially. He and Satoshi Takebe, who supplied songs to Hiroko Yakushimaru and Yuuki Saito mainly, representative 80's idols, were most famous composers on the point that were mixed analog with digital sounds well. Mitsuo Hagita have been related with most her singles as a composer.
She displayed his charms on autumn songs. Our Japanese fans have autumn image to her if we are asked about her season image. The example is "Aki karamo sobani ite(I want to be with you after autumn)" and "Akino indication(the indication of autumn)".
