Blatantly Overpriced,
By A Customer
This review is from: 2000 Emergency Response Guidebook: A Guidebook for First Responders During the Initial Phase of a Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Incident (Paperback)
This title is published by the U.S. Department of Transportation; they are available from J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. for $8.75 a piece... $8.75... That is $21.25 less then what Amazon wants... Also, this is provided free of charge to fire fighters, ems personnel, and law enforcement, so there is NO list price. Plus, if you buy more than one, they are only $7.95 a piece. You could buy 3 from them (J.J. Keller) only pay $23.85! (Since they offer discounts when purchased in quantities) Amazon.com® overpricing this item is an understatement...

NOTHING BUT A HIGH COST RESELL,
By Michel J.S. SASTRE (Ottawa, Ontario) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 2000 Emergency Response Guidebook: A Guidebook for First Responders During the Initial Phase of a Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Incident (Paperback)
This appears to be nothing more than the book available in Canada for C$10.95 from the Canadian Government. Therefore this reseller only pockets more than 4 times the value of the book as he sells it for C$49.95. The book is published by Transport Canada. How do I know? I was the one who prepared the first edition and I am still a consultant in dangerous goods, with 24 years of experience. In the US, the book is available for U$7.25 for the standard edition and $3.30 for the pocket size. In bulk purchases (50+) the cost can be as little as $2.30 each. Michel Sastre

This book is distributed free to fire and emergency medical service departments by the US Department of Transportation, Research and Special Programs Administration, who developed the Guidebook. I found it [a local store] in Chicago, Il.
