The new BOA 2000 Weighted High-Speed Jump Rope has a break through design to make it the fastest speed rope / jump rope in the market. With a weighted cord shaped and strong like a BOA constrictor, from a thin end to thick sides, to a thin center in the jump area, the BOA 2000 helps you burn fat fast!
I purchased this speed rope in July, and I have been using 1-3 times per week on a pretty regular basis. The rope is plenty long for me; I am 6'7". Forwards, backwards, it doesn't matter--plenty long. I bought this speed rope to work on and improve my double-unders. In the last week or so I've really found my rhythm and started hitting the 2X-under with some consistency.
Last night, during a set of 2X-unders, the rope snapped at the handle. This may be an anomaly, and I have contacted AccuFitness (the vendor). I am hoping they will either replace the rope or reimburse me, since if I can't do speed jumping, what's the use of this speed rope? I'll modify this review as necessary based on what happens with the vendor and a resolution.
When it was working, it was excellent, and I am thinking of buying another in the meantime, since if AccuFitness replaces broken rope, I can have one just for travel and one for home. Provided the thing doesn't break, this is a 5-star product. _______________________________________________________ UPDATE: 5* This is a very late update to my original review, but the vendor replaced my broken rope free of charge and shipped it to me priority. I have since had no problems with the rope (I am using it less often than a year ago), but I still put some serious stress on the rope when I do use it. This is a good rope and I would make this a 5 star review at this point. Having said that, I am upgrading to a different rope for better 2x-under work, but I will continue to use this rope for less intense days.
I owned this rope previously and it lasted me at least 5 years. That BOA rope definitely had different material as it was hard to straighten out if I had it curled up in my bag. That original rope broke off at the handle so I took to Amazon to find a replacement.
I ordered the rope and it was even better than the original. The weight was the same w/ the same great ability to whip it around at a fast pace. I could tell the material was different as it straightened out much easier than the original.
Unfortunately it snapped at the handle again and I am beyond the 90 day return period (~5 months in). I am tempted to write it off as a fluke & order another one as I like the rope so much. I'm going to write to the company and see if they will honor a longer warranty period.

This is the best rope out there for the intermediate roper. Has best of both worlds, speed and weight. The bearings are ultra smooth and the rope keeps it shape due to the thicker sides and being narrow at the bottom. This rope has been sold out from every retailer that carries it in the U.S. for almost the whole summer and now I know why. Very smooth rotations when turning the rope, i am 6ft 1 and the 9in rope is the perfect length for me.

i just got my new rope and skipped for 5 mins with it outside on concrete , in about 30*f weather. It was fantastic until 5 mins in the rope sheared in 2 at the bottom of the chord. Has anyone had that experience after such a short time?
