About the Author

Darrell Sitarz, 54, has been involved in many aspects of the karting industry since 1970. In 1990, he formed a karting industry trade orgainzation, Kart Marketing Association of America (KMAA). In 1991 Sitarz published the first guide titled: The Official Karting Directory and Guide ( 1991-1994). In 1995, The Official Karting Directory was spun off into two new publications: Go Karting! and The Karting Industry Buyer's Guide. In 1993, along with former partner Robert Cycon, Sitarz began producing the industry's trade show, Kart Expo International, the largest show if its type in North America. In 1993, the name of the corporation was changed to Kart Marketing Group, Inc. and began to print a monthly trade magazine for the karting industry - Kart Marketing International (KMI). In July 2000, KMI will go entirely on the Internet, becoming the only web-based karting publication in the world. Sitarz will continue as editior/publisher of KMI, The International Karting Industry Buyer's Guide and Go KARTING!

In general, this book provides a very good reference for those of us who need constant information to pursue perfection in our sport. If you can't find what you are looking for in this reference, then there is something wrong.
