I was going to buy a replacement battery right from Dell but decided I'd see if I could save money. I as apprehensive about purchasing a battery that wasn't from Dell but so far I'm glad I did. I've had this batter for a couple of weeks and it works really well. I looks exactly like the battery that came with my computer. It came with a nice little info sheet on how to get the battery to perform at its best and how to maintain its life. After a few charge and discharge cycles the battery is now holding charge for about 4hrs. I recommend this replacement batter. It will save you about $60 too.

I had bought this battery in order to save a few bucks, but as it turned out it did not work. When I plugged it in for the first time it didnt even hold 2 hours of charge it only lasted 1:30 although it advertised 4 hours of charge. As I tried to charge the battery it did nothing. I tried leaving it for a while but it did not charge at all. So I got a refund for my order but did not receive shipping money back.

After leaving them a bad review with bad ratings, they e-mailed me saying that they were willing to refund my shipping money if I took down the bad comment and ratings that I had originally put up. These people are unbelieveable! Dont buy from them....

Purchased April 2009. Out of the gate, it only got 4 hours when my OEM Dell battery had gotten 5. Okay, no problem, I saved $100, so 80% performance was still acceptable.

Unfortunately battery life began to plummet quickly. Eventually it would die sooner than my non-extended life battery. Fast forward to now, just over 1 year later, and I get about ONE HOUR out of a charge.

Piece of junk.

Let me repeat that, DO NOT BUY THIS BATTERY.

Yes, I know, this battery is nearly $100 cheaper than Dell's replacement but hear me out. I purchased this battery for my 700m and it worked great. During the first week I was thrilled that I'd gotten a replacement for 1/3 the cost of Dell's; I even gave this battery a five-star rating. But then, a week later, the battery went dead and wouldn't recharge. I figured this was a faulty unit so I called the company and exchanged the defective battery for a new one. The second battery worked for one day then quit working. I contacted the company a second time and simply asked for a refund. A year later and I still don't have my refund.

When I first put this battery into my computer, I immediately pulled it back off and checked to make sure it was really for a Dell Inspiron 700m. It's much bigger than the battery that came with my computer, and dosen't feel securely latched. The first I bought from here was a dud and they replaced it. It only took one charge, and then went completely dead. This second one works okay.

After 4 years, my Dell oem was losing a charge after 1 hour. It used to last 4.5 hours. This battery was priced right and appeared to be a good replacement...NOT! It started off good, went over 4 hours but within 4-5 months is down to at best 2 hours per charge. Should have paid up and bought another Dell! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...Don't bother with this one...you'll be dissapointed in a few months also

Holds the specified numbers of hours of charge, just as a new battery with a new computer would. Would buy again.
