And You Thought Las Vegas Was Just for Gamblers?....,
By Lisa Winkler "your average-jane movie critic" (Connoquenessing, PA USA) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: 2001 Las Vegas Video Postcard [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Before we first visited Las Vegas in Oct 1998 we said the same thing as everyone else, "What's there to do in Vegas besides gambling?". Well, when we were finally persuaded to go, we found out - a lot! Las Vegas has to be experienced only once, then you're in love with Vegas forever. We bought the 2000 video before our 2nd trip back and were so impressed with the content and video footage. It highlights the Strip, Resorts, and attractions so beautifully that we lend it out to anyone we know that might be thinking about visiting Las Vegas and we anxiously awaited the 2001 edition. We just finished watching the 2001 edition and I have to say it was just as good, if not better, than the 2000 edition. Just a few clips are the same from the 2000 edition but with a lot more new sights and attractions. We are going back to Vegas this October (2001) and we can't wait to visit the new Aladdin Resort and the Shark Reef exhibit at Mandalay Bay. Whether you've already visited Las Vegas, or not, get the video and be impressed with all that fabulous Las Vegas has to offer!

2001 Las Vegas Video Postcard,

This review is from: 2001 Las Vegas Video Postcard [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I thought that the 2001 Las Vegas Video Postcard was great. My favorite part of the movie was the part where it showed all of the roller coasters in Las Vegas (Manhattan Express, High Roller, Speed the ride, Canyon Blaster). I saw so many different things on the video, it is my favorite movie, now. I never knew that there was That there was that much to do in Las Vegas! I relly enjoy watching this video, there was so much to see. I learned a lot about Las Vegas from this video, I never knew about the Four Seasons hotel, the Hyatt......This definetly my favorite video.

I knew there was much to see and do in Las Vegas (and surrounding area), but didn't realize how much until I saw this video. We watched both the 2000 (Millennium edition) and the 2001 edition. Both are worth having. There are some similar shots in the two videos, but they each offer different scenes. These videos are a must-have for anyone planning to visit the Las Vegas area. Complete coverage, great shots, pretty detailed info... its all on this video! We would have missed lots of things without this video. And now that we've returned from our trip, we watch again, as its a nice recollection of our trip, and the video captures the essence and beauty of this fascinating city that an ordinary camera can't do. Gambling? Yes, its everywhere in Vegas. But there's so much more, and its all on this video. I strongly recommend this video!
