Grimmel Review of 80-Page 2002 Supplement inaccurate and inappropriately linked to 800-page textbook.,
By William P. Ball II (Indiana, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 2002 Supplement: Forensic Psychophysiology Using The Polygraph: Scientific Truth Verification - Lie Detection. (Paperback)
The 2002 Supplement to Forensic Psychophysiology Using the Polygraph is an excellent addition to the 800-page textbook titled "Forensic Psychophysiology Using the Polygraph." The 2002 Supplement infers by its title that it supplements its parent 800-page textbook with additional information and corrections. If you read the entire product description, the last statement "-- This text refers to the Hardcover edition" should eliminate any confusion. Amazon.com also erred in connecting Grimmel's review and complaint to the 800-page textbook "Forensic Psychophysiology Using The Polygraph" which has admirably served as the world's leading textbook on truth verification and lie detection.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 2002 Supplement: Forensic Psychophysiology Using The Polygraph: Scientific Truth Verification - Lie Detection. (Paperback)
As of 08/10/10, the Amazon description of this item is inaccurate. It claims to be an 800-page summary of research on polygraphy, when in fact it is a 70-page supplement to a previously issued 800-page volume. Worse, the supplement does not consist of independent text, but only of update paragraphs, sentences, and graphs keyed to the 800-page volume. Since each update lacks the context of the original volume, it's useless unless you own the 800-page book. Be warned.
As of 07/30/11, the Amazon description has been updated to clarify that this is the 2002 supplement, but it's still important to know that it's keyed to the original text and can't be read without said original.
