I purchased one if these for my '03 Element after the driver's seat started developing a lot of tears along the left side. I tried patching it, but it kept ripping. I thought about finding a used seat in a junkyard, but this seemed like a simpler solution. It takes some muscling to get this cover on, but once on it helps keep the tears from getting worse.

If you have an older Element and you use it pretty heavily, this is not a bad investment in protecting the seat and preventing it from wearing out. If you're in the snow belt (and the Element is an excellent snow belt car) this cover will keep your seats dry and free of salt, too.
