Perfect fit and now the hood lifts itself after being opened about six inches.

Note that on the OEM lifters the tube end is on the lower end, these lifters have the tube on the upper end that attaches to the hood. Different look, same lift.

Installation note: After you remove the two machine screws on the hood end, you'll need to pry the lower end from the mount on the car. There is a small spring clip that you can remove with a flathead screwdriver but it's just as easy to just pry it off. The end of the old lifters will likely break, but no problem with that since you're going to throw them away. The new ones snapped on very easily.

Use small flat-blade screwdriver to pry off the spring-clip at the bottom of the original. To install the new ones, install the top first with the two screws. Then, the bottom just pops right into place. Very easy! Helps if you've got some sort of brace (or a helper), but not absolutely required. One new lifter will hold the hood up no problem.

The hood on my 2003 would not stay up which made it hard to do anything under the hood. These lift supports fit perfectly and were very easy to install with only a screwdriver. Took about 15 minutes.

These struts fit perfectly, took no special tools or great effort to install.
They will not let the hood drop.
Priced fairly.

The shocks installed in 5 minutes literally. My only caveat is to ensure the hood is blocked or somehow supported before removing the old shocks. I neglected to do this, assuming the other shock would support the hood. It did not. Just about lost my finger when the hood came crashing down.
These new shocks installed quickly and easily, I would certainly purchase again if needed.

Dealer wanted $90 for replacement hood shocks. These are 1/3 of the cost. I'm not mechanically inclined at all and I was able to remove the old ones and replace them with these in 10 minutes and without instructions, it's so simple.
