When I was first diagnosed with diabetes last year, I was scared and overwhelmed. My daughter gave me the 2003 Day By Day Diabetes Calendar and it was a real help to me. I got the 2004 Day By Day Diabetes Calendar as soon as it was available. It is filled with such helpful and positive information. I never knew that someone with diabetes could eat regular recipes, but with this book, I have found that I can eat and live like everyone else - it just requires some additional planning. I have recommended this book to many of my friends with diabetes. I especially like the tips from readers who have diabetes; it is great to learn from those who have the disease.
