5.0 out of 5 stars oh my GOSH! one of the best cds' ever!
This is one of the most awesome cd's I've ever listened too! I couldnt stop playing it.. and I still cant! This cd has the best songs on it and everyone of them (well most) came all close to my likings! I loved this cd and I cant wait (and hope) when a 2006 one comes out! If you're looking for a really good Christian Rock cd for someone... this is the one!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not good enough.
This cd maay have a lot of variety which mite be good for some people, but i was really turned off because some of the bands on this album arnt good enough. Ofcourse there is pillar, skillet, seventh day slumber delivering the good hard rock stuff but the rest of it wasnt good enough. If your'e like me and like to stick to a constricted genre of rock music then u will...

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Awesome, September 12, 2005
This review is from: X 2005: 17 Christian Rock Hits (Audio CD)
This CD is one of the greatest compilation CDs EVER! And I burn a LOT of CDs. All the songs are presented on good order, easily transitioning into the other. the CD sound quality itself is awesome. I definitely give this a 10 of 5.

Ofcourse there is pillar, skillet, seventh day slumber delivering the good hard rock stuff but the rest of it wasnt good enough. If your'e like me and like to stick to a constricted genre of rock music then u will find ur self skipping tracks on this album. However if u like a variety of rock from punk to emo to nu-metal u'll be pleased with the variety. I got this cd for free at my youth group but i dont think i wud pay money for it.

3.0 out of 5 stars ok...i guess, August 24, 2005
This review is from: X 2005: 17 Christian Rock Hits (Audio CD)
i was very disappointed with this cd. x:2004 was great! what happened? most of the songs arent good at all. and 'open wounds'? that song is like 2 years old! 'sooner or later'? though thats a great song, that song is like 6 years old. the bonus tracks are the best part of the cd.

1) more than useless- good song
2) hypnotized- bad song
3) gone- good song
4) break me- ok song
5) exit calypsan- good song
6) everyone like me- good song
7) lay down my pride- ok song
8) everything about you- ok song
9) it's like me- good song
10) are you real- terrible song [why is this guy alive?]
11) reinventing your exit- ok song [too much needless screaming]
12) detainer- ok song [too repetitive]
13) open wounds- good song [old!]
14) out of control- bad song [see 'are you real']
15) california- ok song [hawk nelson has many better songs]
16) bowling ball- terrible song
17) sooner or later- great song
18) even when- great song [best on the cd]
19) let this one stay- great song
20) apparitions of melody- great song
21) serial sleepers- great song

the last 5 songs save this cd. if it was really only 17 songs, as advertised, it would get like a 1 or 2 from me.

overall, i suggest you buy X '04 instead of this one
