5.0 out of 5 stars great all terrain stroller, August 6, 2005

SB mom (Santa Barbara, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 2005 BumbleRide Rocket Stroller Color: Ruby (Baby Product)
This is a great stroller. I researched many different strollers before deciding on this one. This is a newer stroller so I wasn't able to find many reviews on it, when I did find one online it was always positive so I decided to get one. I love the way it looks and it is a very comfortable ride for my daughter. I have gotten many compliments on it when taking it on a walk. You can use it from the time they are a newborn because it almost fully reclines and it comes with a cozy footmuff that you can zip on to keep you little one warm. It also comes with a bar you can clip on so you can click in your infant car seat. I think it works with most infant car seat brands. I have a combi tyro and it fits onto the bar. I was told this was not a jogger but more of a all terrain stroller. I don't run but like to take walks often and needed a stroller that did well on rough terrain like bumpy roads, the sand, grass, etc. This stroller is great for that. I love the way it handles, it is easy to maneuver because the front wheel swivels which is key. You have the option to lock the front wheel as well. It folds down easily and it not to heavy to lift and I'm pretty petite. I would recommend this stroller to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME Stroller, February 11, 2006

This review is from: 2005 BumbleRide Rocket Stroller Color: Ruby (Baby Product)
I just got my Bumbleride Rocket and is is awesome. It is a very well built stroller that feels like it will ast for years! This stroller comes stacked with extras: footmuff, cup holder, universal car seat adaptor, and a safety bar all included in the price. These extras would cost you at least $100 with other strollers. Aesthetically it is one of the best around and you won't be dissapointed when it arrives. The only thing that I found the slightest bit dissapointing is the size when folded. It is a little larger than I expected, but then again these are large strollers to be compared with the Mountain Buggy, and Bugaboo. It definately holds its own with both the previous mentioned brands at a fraction of the cost and with all the extras! I can't wait until my baby is born!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Stroller, fun to use, June 20, 2006

This is a very nice stroller. Being a first time Mom, I agonized over what to buy. Price and styling, as well as function were my criteria. The stroller is lighweight and easy to fold up. It fits in the back portion of my VW Jetta wagon. If you have a smaller baby like me (2 1/2 month old, 10 lbs) you'll want to use this stroller with your carseat. Otherwise, the stroller harness will be swimming around your baby! I have a Graco Snugride, and it fits great. What's neat, is the carseat fits backward, so you can see your baby as you walk. That was really nice, and my baby liked that. The canopy used in conjunction with the carseat canopy provides 95% shade for baby. There's a small window in the stroller's shade canopy, so you can see your baby. The wheels are really big, and good quality. I used it on the bikepath today, and it has a smooth ride. The adjustable handle is pretty cool too. What's nice is the weight limit is 45lbs. You'll be able to have this stroller for at least 3 years, as your baby grows! That was a nice factor, not all jog style strollers have the carseat adapter thingy. So that makes this stroller a good one for me.
DRAWBACKS:
1)When folding you can pinch your finger, or hand badly. I did right off the bat, and then again. With practice, I am sure I will get the hang of it.

2)The swivel front wheel doesn't function flawlessly. It kicks around and snaps into stationary position. It's not that big of a deal since I was able to walk 2 miles just fine. It's more af an annoyance, and I am going to see if my husband can modify it.

That said, that's why i rated this stroller 4 out of 5 stars. I would buy it again, despite these small drawbacks. It's well thought out, and very sporty-cute. The color range is really nice too! I bought it from another online source because they had free shipping google: Bumble Ride Rocket Free Shipping......sorry Amazon!

5.0 out of 5 stars stroller envy, June 8, 2006
This review is from: 2005 BumbleRide Rocket Stroller Color: Ruby (Baby Product)
We bought the Bumbleride Rocket last year for our daughter who is now almost four months old. Primarily we use it with our graco infant car seat attached to the car seat bar. The stroller really does all that we want... transports our duaghter and gives other parents stroller envy.

pros - looks great
- seems to provide a nice smooth ride
- very sturdy
- seat is fully reclining
- the 'boot' is great for cooler weather
- the transparent window in the hood is nice for looking through to check on daughter

cons - with the car seat attached, the strollers seems just a bit top-heavy.
- There is a bar that sort of makes it hard to get big items into the storage basket.

One consideration I would mention is the size of your car trunk... we have an elantra, and the stroller takes up most of the trunk unless we detach a wheel so it will go in at a different angle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just can't keep quiet about the Rocket., March 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 2005 BumbleRide Rocket Stroller Color: Ruby (Baby Product)
Hello... first review.

Neither my husband or myself wants multiple strollers, so I wanted to be completely at peace with the one and only stroller we'd end up getting. At any rate, as soon it as I came across the concept of all- terrain strollers ( I think it was a thread on this site ), that was all that she wrote, as they say.

The Rocket has been with us not even two weeks, and as far I am concerned, it already paid for itself. It has already been in thick mud, cobblestones, city streets that look like sledge/jackhammer parades passed by long ago, grass, etc. Curbs are no challenge. And we trekked over all of it without disturbing the little one... the suspension is nice. I plan on it being around for as long as we have children to place in it.

My baby really likes this stroller... can and does sleep comfortably in it while we're out and about, which is nice.

You can't go wrong with full recline.

The customer service is G-R-E-A-T... so are the accessories.

I really appreciate that I can just strip off the fabric and hurl it into a washing machine... and the ruby color is beautiful; the exact shade of red in the picture, just the hue I wanted, blood red ( though I love the Marine color, too ). The design is very appealing.

I can easily push it one handed and open the door for myself. I like the ease in which I can steer it.

They say that no stroller is perfect, so I will go ahead and admit that the Rocket likes to occupy the entire trunk of our car. But I did bust out the measuring tape and do some calculations, so I was not surprised... then again, we have not tried to fit groceries into the vehicle AND bring the stroller along yet, so... that is something to consider. Twenty pounds of baby carriage does not bother me, but others may not feel the same. It's a big stroller ( tall, long, wide ), but I don't have issues pushing it through the aisles, unless I come across a very narrow space. The adjustable straps may still be loose for a little baby, so liners help. Those are all the red flags I can think of... pros & cons, I hope I helped anybody trying to decide for or against this stroller.

I got my Rocket second hand, and I'll be honest and say that I am in no hurry to turn around one day and doing the same... I love this stroller!
