4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Book, December 7, 2005
By

This review is from: 2006 Magical Almanac (Llewellyn's Magical Almanac) (Paperback)
I loved this book, it is wonderfull especially the section on wizard marks, it explained how to make binding runes, and sigils using runes in ways that I could never find in anyother book. And the actual Almanac section is really wonderfull too. I was apprehensive about the book because it had all authors or witches I never heard of before.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not much of an almanach, March 7, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 2006 Magical Almanac (Llewellyn's Magical Almanac) (Paperback)
This is not much of an almanach. I had expected more than a bunch of little stories. The actual almanach portion is only 63 of the 384 pages and it provides no more info than the one they hand you at your local flower shop. Where are the dates when to plant, harvest your magical herbs, cut back your plants, weed your garden? Very dissappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Llewellyn does it again, EXCELLENT!, January 8, 2006

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: 2006 Magical Almanac (Llewellyn's Magical Almanac) (Paperback)
This is my 3rd almanac in this series. Each year there seems to be more and more material, ideas and traditions. I have been exploring alternate spiritual traditions on and off over the years and it is within the last 3 or so years I have been exploring and learning about Wicca, wiccae. I can only speak for myself in my own experience. I find this almanac to be helpful for newbies for those I've spoken to, who are more along in the craft, recommend this as well. If you are open to many traditions and are not locked in to a specific magic practice or not, this almanac contains a variety of traditions, ideas you can try or use to expand your book of shadows and perhaps, create your own magic as well.
Like in all magic practice, it is wise to understand and develope your style of creating, holding, closing your circle. That said, enjoy this book with an open heart and mind. I am sure you will find something to spark your light. Bright Blessings to all!
