All I have to say is.... that it doesn't surprise me that these calendars are still being made. There are so many works and bi-products that this only sctratches the surface. When I began seeing his work in things I started off feeling a little frightened & uneasy, but for some disapparent reason wanted that feeling again and again. The fact that other art and so many other artists use his material, as well as being influenced by it in some way really says something kinda important, or maybe not?
There's almost never an image that doesn't do something to you. It's really easy to see that it may sometimes look outrageously scary or just plain sick. What happens is this: YOU have to end up facing that there's always wonder and something quite tender and truthful behind so many of the images. I hate to say that it is oddly almost comforting if you can look closely enough. But it's true. And always true to it's form, but yet something completely different every time.
I guess it's just better to say thank you H.R. Giger, and whomever else is motivated to continue releasing these images on a regular basis like this. I really appreciate it.

I've always admired H.R. Giger's art, and have obtained other calendars in the past. This one has the added feature of noteworthy birthdays of figures throughout history who have contributed to dark horror, cult, science fiction/fantasy, and mystery genres -- such as Marilyn Manson, H.P. Lovecraft, and Dante. A must for devotees of the man.

If you're a Geiger fan, and even if you're not but you're a little bit Goth, you'll love this calendar. Always thoroughly disturbing, thoroughly sexy, and thoroughly beautiful, Geiger never disappoints! Highly recommend for Gothic art fans, SF art fans, and dark fantasy artwork fans -- anyone who appreciates cutting edge science fiction art.
