Bought this to help plan an owner-builder house. Great reference, but not as comprehensive as I would have hoped. Missing residential SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) and other green building material costs. This publisher does print the best reference materials for the building industry.

This book is fairly inclusive but lacks costs for some specific tasks that can end up being fairly substantial for more specialized projects. Overall its a decent book, but it often leaves me looking for more.

2007 National Construction Estimator I've been using these manuals for 15 years and they are an accurate way to estimate any constuction job you are looking to do. Used in conjunction with your own experience, they make for a good double check on your prices.
