Slick-looking cards, good price,

Do not confuse this box with the 08-09 Hot Prospects HOBBY BOX. The Hobby Box has 20 packs (I think) and an average of 3 hits per box-- this box only has 1 memorabilia on average. And that one hit will likely be a Hot Materials jersey because those were "retail exclusive", which is what this box is.
That being said you probably won't get a cool memorabilia card, but the large amount of packs (24) will likely give you a better shot at RCs, parallels and inserts. There are the chances you could pull a nice Westbrook or Derrick Rose RC. There's also some cool Red Hot parallels (I didn't get any) #d/25. I did, however, pull some Blue parallels (2 Spurs!) which are cool but aren't #d and are not valued much higher that the regular gold base. Overall, a cool set at an affordable price. But you probably will get a lousy memorabilia so make your choice.

Solid Box for Ripping!,

I typically have horrible luck when ripping Fleer products, however my box of Hot Prospects was pretty good. The box consisted of 24 packs and 4 cards per pack. I bought the box hoping to pull a Derek Rose rookie, and for the one hit per box guaranteed for retail. I pulled two jersey cards one of Brandon Roy and the other of Carmelo Anthony. I got what appears to be a Rose rookie insert, but not the base rookie. I was ok with the $39.99 price given that hobby boxes sell for $170-plus. Not sure I would pay for the hobby, but would definitely buy the retail box again especially if prices came down towards the $30 level. Solid product would rip an unopened box again in the future.

Bought 3 boxes of 08-09 Fleer Hot Prospects Basketball (RETAIL) ... and enjoyed the product for the price point. Rec'd 2 game used in each box ... and for $15 per box you can not beat that!
