5.0 out of 5 stars Straightforward book, October 25, 2009

This review is from: C# 2008 Programmer's Reference (Wrox Programmer to Programmer) (Paperback)
Initially, I did not like the book as I was using it as a reference like a dictionary. But once I started reading it by the page sequence, I started to see the progression of the topics. It is a straightforward C# book that cuts the unnecessary wordiness of some books and goes straight to the point. Highly recommended. There is also a very useful run-through of C# development using Visual Studio 2008.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well structured and detailed reference for developers at all levels, December 3, 2008
By
This review is from: C# 2008 Programmer's Reference (Wrox Programmer to Programmer) (Paperback)
This book walks the user from the fundamental principles of C# development through to the latest language features such as LINQ. The second part of the book shows you how to apply this knowledge to various target systems from desktop to mobile devices and web applications including the latest Silverlight 2.0. The appendices provide useful material too such as the often overlooked process of generating documentation from your C# code.
It provides a good understanding of C# development for the beginner while also providing a well structured reference book which more experienced developers can dip into - Highly recommended!
