AWESOME Reference! Cliff Notes for Sanford,
By
This review is from: 2009 EMRA Antibiotic Guide (Paperback)
I ordered this guide immediately after seeing it being used during my emergency medicine rotation. While I admire the Sanford Guide for the breadth of information, I needed a simpler reference. The EMRA Antibiotic Guide is much better organized, color-coded, and abx prioritized (1st line listed top of the list). The text is also much easier to read. Sorry Sanford...but the EMRA has replaced you in my lab coat pocket.

This is my favorite antibiotic guide to use in the E.D. It's a lot better than Sanford and easier to use for Emergency Physicians.

Very helpful in keeping up to date in prescribing effective medications to patients in the ER or in private practice.

I loved my EMRA guide in residency so I decided it was time to buy a new more up to date one. Similar layout, not quite as thick but the print is very small. Compared to my '04 version the font in this one is miniscule. Imagine more info in less pages (old one 153 pgs, new one 95 pgs). It's still a life saver and I look forward to breaking out some of the less used pages in Haiti next week.

I am a FNP student and have recently purchased this pocket guide for a quick reference. I love the color coding of the book by systems, it makes it easy to find what you are looking for really fast. I also like the clinical pearls listed in each section for the diagnoses. This is a reference which will definitely benefit me as I transition into practice after graduation.

So I ordered this product not knowing there was an updated version for 2011. Well I got the 2009 edition AND they sent me the updated version at no added cost to me! I was really impressed by this. Thank you. Would definitely recommend buying from anytime!

I like the older version, it tells me how much the medications are which is very helpful when it comes to the pt.'s that cannot afford expensive medications.
