4.0 out of 5 stars Good way to relive a part of Saints history
I watched this two disc DVD and overall, I enjoyed it. It is basically the NFC Championship game with the commercials and studio analysis cut out. They also edit out a few replays and other minor parts of the game to keep you watching the action. My only real complaint is that the tropy ceremony after the game is not included. 3.0 out of 5 stars You could have playback problems
The game is the game. The TV broadcast, without the commercials. I haven't watched it all yet, but I don't think it includes any post-game interviews or other extras.

Unfortunately, the dvd will not play in my TV's dvd player. I have a dvd-vhs player/recorder connected to my TV. It's not blue-ray or high-def or anything like that. It's about three years old...

They end on Garrett Hartley making the game winning Field Goal in Overtime & celebrating as his teammates run out onto the field. Other than that, this is a great way for Saints fans to relive a great moment in the team's history that sent them to their first Super bowl.

This is not quite what I was hoping for. I was looking for an NFL Films program. This is an edited version of the regular TV broadcast of the NFC championship game in which the Saints beat the Vikings to qualify for the Super Bowl. That's OK, but it should have been identified as such in the description. It was still a great game and a good viewing experience, especially for long-suffering Saints fans who want to relive every moment of a championship season endlessly!

Fav--ree with pants on the ground. Coach Sean Payton to Kicker Garrett Hartley: "Just that *&%#in' fluer-de-lis, Son". Priceless.

It's about three years old. The dvd box warns that the disk may not play in dvd recorder, which is certainly the case here.

It will play in my iMac, which also records dvds. It plays using the standard Mac dvd player. Native screen size is 720 x 480, so at full screen I can see some pixelation and compression artifacts. I'd say the quality is about that of a typical vhs tape. Editing looks pretty good--you don't really notice where the commercials used to be. Be aware there are no closed captions.

All in all it's a pretty decent recording of the game; but be warned you may not be able to watch it on your TV.

Brilliant high scoring tug-o-war battle for the NFC Championship. Non-stop action throughout the entire game which literally ends with a BANG! A game winning field goal in overtime! It's more Hollywood than Hollywood! The Saints owned the game and our hearts that night!

4.0 out of 5 stars Who Dat!, March 11, 2010

I have Saints season tickets and was fortunate enough to attend this game. Overtime Championship games are very hard on the nerves and cause extreme heart palpations. I still haven't quite recovered from it, but winning the Super Bowl helped a lot. It's a lot calmer watching the game again knowing the outcome. The case contains 2 discs and is in "widescreen". There is no footage of the post game celebration or any of the interviews. That is the only reason for 4 stars. I guess you can't have everything. I didn't have any problem playing the DVD on my Panasonic Blu Ray player.
