This book is great if you're a freelance writer looking for gigs, or love writing in general....if you are more specifically inclined to short stories or novels, I do not recommend this one...go for the short stoty/novel edition- it will contain more information on your particular interests...this is so big and tries to do so much, it covers little in depth

The Writer's Market 2009 Deluxe Edition is vastly updated from the 2007 edition, which I had. There are at least 100 new Literary Agents catalogued in the text, which is what I was looking for. Also, the online resources may prove to be very useful.

I really bought this because it came with a year's subscription to the online Writer's Market which is invaluable. Together, they're a great value. Alone, it's the bible of writer's market information. Updated frequently with superb information.

Just a note to everyone that the publisher has sent an email to subscribers that the 2010 Writer's Market is complete and on its way to production, then it's off to the printer. Wait for the new version.

Bought this book. Has a ton of great information. My only complaint is that due to the size it is harder to find certain sections easily, as with any large resource book. A couple of dividers throughout the book would be wonderful. Overall I would deff buy this again. Buying it in this version allowed me access to their website for a year also. Great buy.

The Writers Market is full of information on how to get published as well as tons of listings. If you have used it before it is still up to its high standards. If not you should be more than pleasantly surprised.

I was overwhelmed trying to determine where to start when I began writing stories I wish to publish. This book is a wonderful guide in helping you get to the next step.

I felt that this book was a necessity for an aspiring writer as myself. as any market and directory book, full of detailed info and must-haves. I bought it brand new, after release and found a seller on Amazon, asking the price of $.99, I was skeptical, but took a chance and satisfied with the results.

In Jan. 2011, most of the info is still usable and correct, if it weren't we may have been looking at an unstable industry of companies. So, these means of contact for the most part is still good, if not how reputable would the publisher you're seeking be?

the pages and info is lined up, great index, so no searching endless minutes trying to find specifics. pages display sufficient amount of whitespace, so its easy on the eyes.
