the laser itself is nice but the casing is junk. the threads that connect the batteries to the laser are completely worthless. they dont screw on straight and once it is screwed on its so loose you can pull it right off.

This laser worked fine for about 3 days and then the light intensity began to diminish drastically and now you can barely see it on a white wall even in total darkness. Replacing the batteries three times was pointless, it just didn't work.

What a piece of junk, total waste of 33 bucks...

I don't understand the problems encountered by the other reviewers. The quality of my laser pointer is perfectly fine. The threads work exactly as they should, and it is not loose. The hyperbole of the second reviewer is obvious: it's not hot when you put your hand in front of the beam. Naturally, nobody should shine a laser of any power into someone's eyes. This pointer is bright enough that it can be seen in rather large rooms if you find that necessary for lectures.

This laser is an excellent tool for fine laser work, and the price is fantastic; but it is NOT a pointer! Using this to point at objects may start fires, and pointing this at a person will cause injuries. This is good for heating and cutting some things, but for pointing, use a <5mw green pointer as that can provide plenty of light and a visible beam at night, and <5mw will not cause any disasters, blindness, forest fires, injuries, etc.
