2010 Comic Book Checklist & Price Guide

My father is a comic book collector and fan of Overstreet. Since the new Overstreet won't be out until this summer we took a chance on this. My father was really disappointed and reports it doesn't compare to Overstreet guide.

I try to buy one of these every 2 years to stay current in the Comic Book field. The only difference between this edition and the 2008 edition are more issues listed to bring you up to 2009. There are no artist or writer information, or synopsis on these issues. Also many of the updated listings are wrong. I will not buy another one from this company.

About the only good thing I can say about this book is that it acts like a checklist for individual comics, so one could use this book instead of using a spreadsheet on a computer, for instance. However, there are some serious flaws with this book. For example, some comics are graded below cover price. Take Deathlok #25, which has a $2.95 cover price. This guide lists it at $1.75. The newsstand version of Batman #500, which has a $2.50 cover price, is shown to have a value of $2.00. This guide also is missing comics and comic titles altogether. The title Occult Crimes Taskforce is a 4-issue mini-series, but only the first two issues are listed. The title Marvel Zombies 2 is missing completely, as well as some other titles, like Daredevil: Battlin' Jack Murdock.
This guide does not seem to be updated very well from previous years editions. I would use this book only as a last resort.

Great Book, has everything I needed to find the information I want. I was just disappointed in the lack of pictures. Not too many pictures. But I love the information it gives you on how to rate the books. I learned a lot. It's a huge book, well worth the money. Seller shipped very fast. I'm very happy with this book!!

This is a super help to all who know nothing about comic books. A True asset for grading your books for resale. I actually ended up knowing more about comic books than my son, and that says it all.

this book is very cool the only thing i did not like is that it only goes back to 1962 other than that it is a good bye

This a large size guide that goes from 1961 to 2010 so its really use to have if you collect comics and also just reading at the prices that go for some comics so it was interesting just to have a price guide but just seeing the value of comics I came across too.
