Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These days I ride a Silver Wing - I always "gear up" for that fateful day when, like all motorcyclists eventually do, I go down. It did finally happen to me after riding for 10 years - someone turned suddenly across my lane into a driveway. Unlike on a motorcycle, when you're on a scooter this means you bounce off the car, hard (~30 MPH, but at least your legs aren't pinched between the engine and car as they would be on a motorcycle - no broken bonz!). I rolled on the ground and stood up. "Just like crashing on a dirt bike!" I thought. Thank YOU Joe Rocket, Fox Pawtectors, and Alpenstars!! All OK except a big bruise on my thigh (even though I wore knee-protectors, I was in a miniskirt). The guy was scared to DEATH and his car side was totally dented. Another case of a cager not seeing me...

Always wear motorcycle pants and boots on the freeway!!
