a foodie bible
I am never disappointed in this book. It gives ratings on the 4 most important quality categories of a restaurant: food, service, decor and price. There are brief, but revealing, vignettes of each restaurant, giving one a sense of the place instantly. Superimposed on this structure are groupings by location, type of food, and also top winners in the 4 areas of quality...

Quashed & Crumpled
Sorry to say the bottom right hand corner of the book was all quashed and crumpled. It was a birthday gift so not too impressed to say the least.

I buy this guide every couple of years. I depend on it for my quarterly NY visits. It has restaurants listed in alpha order as well as by area of the city - as well as by type of food. And if you're coming with the family it even has a family friendly section. Very much worth the price.
