2010: Take Back America: A Battle Plan

Better stock up on highlighter pens. This reviewer began to get writer's cramps from underlining important points; and that was just in the introduction.

The book is organized into three very concise parts: First, what is at stake for our nation's and our children's future if things are allowed to progess(ive) as they are now. Second, who within the Senate and the House of Representatives is subject to this year's electoral process. And third, the strategy for putting Congress into the hands of those who represent the values upon which America was founded and has thrived.

This reviewer was at a recent rally where an elderly lady held a handwritten sign that said, "For the first time in my life, I am afraid of my government". Thankfully, there is now a handbook, not for radicals, but for those who would take that fear, that anger and frustration, and turn it into positive, effective action to "Take Back America".

Dick Morris does it again. He is spot on and recognizes the danger that the Obama regime is doing to America. Yes it is scary what this administration is doing to erode our liberties but gives me the resolve to peacefully fight to retain my liberties.

The book is broken into categories but the area concerning the next mortgage bubble was truly frightening. The FHA under Obama is doling out MORE AND MORE subprime mortgages setting up yet another disaster.

This added to the new financial bill Obama wants Congress to sign which does NOT include Fannie and Freddie as "too big to fail and take apart/sell off" is seriously BAD for taxpayers. Fannie/Freddie and now the FHA are endangering our country's financial health.

Lets get this straight. If you think that Obama is doing a great job bankrupting this country so that he can start from scratch making the U.S. the socialist utopia hes always dreamed of, then this book isn't for you. If you have no problem with Obama's socialized medicine plan and the bribes and threats that were used to push it through despite the majority of Americans opposing it, then this book isn't for you. If multi-trillion dollar budgets, that your children and grandchildren will be paying for, don't bother you, then this book isn't for you. If cuts in medicare that people have paid into already and upcoming tax increases to pay for more and more entitlements, because Obama believes in the redistribution of wealth, don't concern you, then this book isn't for you. If the fact that two recent terrorist plots were foiled by average citizens, while, after the fact, the moronic head of Homeland Security bragged "the system worked" doesn't concern you either, than this book isn't for you.
However if you, like me, consider Obama to be the worst President in my lifetime and are disgusted in the Senate and House of Representatives being controlled by two individuals like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, then this book is for you. If you are sickened and depressed by the way this country is going, then this book is for you. If you don't want to see the U.S. degenerate into a third world type socialist dictatorship, then this book is for you. The only thing that can be done to prevent this from happening is for the Republicans to take back control of Congress in the 2010 elections. That is why it is the most important election day of my lifetime.
The first part of this excellent book recounts all of the Obama attempts to run our economy into the ground. I won't go into them here, you already know them. There is also a small section on the Obama administration's lackluster "war" against terrorism.
The second part focuses on politicians who are vulnerable. In the Senate, theres Harry Reid of Nevada, the master of land deals and nepotism. He also focuses on one of my two terrible Senators, Kristin Gillibrand, who has literally expunged part of her own history to reinvent herself as an ultra-liberal. Then theres Barbara Boxer of California who recently berated a General for referring to her as Maam, rather than Senator and finally Arlen Specter, who jumped parties from the Republican to Democrat when it became apparent that he would lose a Republican primary battle. Morris than comments on a long list of Democrat Congressmen and women serving in Republican and Conservative districts, including my own Congressman, that can be beaten as well.
The final part of the book concerns what we, as concerned Americans, can do to spread the word and hopefully end the Democrat control of Congress next January.
This is a well-written book and should be required reading for all Americans. As stated previously, if you voted for Obama, Pelosi and Reid and do not regret it, you should steer clear of this book. However, if you are concerned about the future of this country for yourself, your children and grandchildren, grab this book right away and encourage others to read it. The election of 2010 is a little less than seven months away and a more important election day I cannot think of.

I don't like what our government has become, I didn't like it under Bush & I dislike it even more with Obama. I feel that it is time to take the gloves off and recognize the mortal struggle with opposition to a republican form of government. "Reaching across the aisle" is fine when deciding on where to have lunch or choosing the color of the carpet however how can one be indifferent when contemplating the vital notion of personal liberty? The natural law concept of our Constitution has become so corrupted that politicians routinely enact positivist legislation that in no manner serves to protect our innate rights. This Machiavellian nightmare must come to an end and "2010, Take Back America" shows how this can be done.

I found this book to provide a real insight to the art of electioneering & how to be victorious. The authors offer targeted strategies on susceptible left-of-center office holders with the goal of taking back both legislative houses. It was exciting to see how vulnerable elected officials can be pursued based on their stance on issues and the demographics of their districts. I am hopeful that the books tactical campaigning resources will see that proper changes are made in November.

It has been said that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice; it has come to this given the current extremism of the disciples of Alinsky.

This book focuses on how to beat the Democrats and Obama in the election of 2010. And, Dick Morris does an excellent job of laying out the strategy of how to do that.

The best part of the book is where he lays out the Democratic candidates in both the Senate and House and identifies their records and their weaknesses. As usual, Dick Morris does an excellent job of laying out the facts regarding each candidate doing this in some detail for the targeted Senators and then in not as much detail for the targeted representatives.

Harry Reid's record, as appropriate, is laid out as a true hypocrite - a poster boy for the Democratic party. He has called others as flip floppers, but he is the top flip flopper of them all. His only focus is on helping his constituents, who are by the way not the voters of Nevada but the individuals who give to his campaign. One group stands out quite clear as a supporter of Harry Reid and vice versa, the gambling owners of Las Vegas, especially MGM/Mirage - back scratching each other all the way to the bank on the tax payers dime. His ethics also stink, with his nepotism with his sons and son in law in lobbying groups, the bridge that the Feds paid for to his property to raise the price, etc. This guy deserves to be voted out of office.

Then there are others - Blanche Lincoln - a pretend blue dog who is really a liberal; Gillibrand from New York, who changes her position so much that it is hard to figure out where she stands. However, with regard to Gillibrand, we do know that she was the lawyer to the largest tobacco company and helped them get a better result in the law suit with Minnesota. She's another hypocrite. Then, there's Arlen Specter - the Democrats are truly proud of this turncoat. He went from a centrist to an individual whose voting record is one of the most liberal in the Senate. Finally, in the Senate, Dick focuses on Barbara Boxer, a true liberal. For all the Senate candidates, Dick focuses on the facts and why they need to leave. I only regret that I won't be able to vote against any of these hypocrites in the next election.

The bottom line in the Senate, Dick believes, is that the Republicans can pick up at least 8 seats and probably as many as 10 in November, 2010, thereby winning back the Senate.

On the House side, Dick targets the Democratic hypocrites who call themselves blue dogs, criticizing the deficit spending of the Bush years, and then proceeding to vote on the largest deficits of all time. I won't go through the specifics here, but I must say that it makes for interesting reading and a must read for all voters in November, 2010. These guys and gals said they were fiscally resposible and got on their stoops criticizing the Republicans (rightfully so, I might add) but then voted the most fiscally irresponsible set of pork laden garbage that ever came out of Washington - the so-called "stimulus" bill of February, 2009. It is, as Dick says, time to vote them out! And, the bottom line in the House, Dick thinks, is that the Republicans will pick up 39 seats and "fire Nancy Pelosi".

At the end, Dick suggests some strategies for how to position the campaigns. I really like the suggestion that the Republican candidates make this an election against Barack Obama and his policies. In this instance, Dick goes down the list of Barack Obama's failures, and states that if the Obamacare bill passes (since this was finished before that bill passed), it will be one of the largest failures of his presidency. Again, Dick only deals with the facts in making this case, and it is very strong.

This is an excellent book for an conservative who has struggled with the stupidity in Washington, DC that has occurred since January, 2009 and it provides hope for the future - a future where the Democrats don't run the Congress and then hopefully, a future where Barack Obama is no longer President.

Dick Morris and Eileen McGann lay out a brilliant election plan to take back the country from the progressive left. Important details about the upcoming Senate and House races. Important and informative issues concerning the internet and social networking to gain advantage in the upcoming elections. This book is well thought out. Even if you are not a political junky it will be well worth your time to get engaged in the upcoming election. This is a fantastic battle plan for anyone who is frustrated with politicians and candidates currently in office. Great ideas to show the citizen how they can get America changed for the better and get some of the people out of office who are not doing a good job and running this country down.

The steps in the book are clear but don't mean a thing unless we get off our duffs and take action.

We are becoming activists in our world, here because we never thought to see the day that we would have to fear our govt.

November can't come soon enough to push/vote this dangerous Congress out of power, reduce the spending, reduce the power of a too powerful Central Govt and balance by giving more power to the States.

And the poseur in the White House?
