2.0 out of 5 stars Writer's Market Needs to Shape Up or Ship Out, January 23, 2011
By
This review is from: 2011 Writer's Market (Paperback)
The 2011 Writer's Market is more than a disappointment--it's a disaster. I stopped counting the number of typos in the introductory articles--the task just got too onerous. But when I started finding markets that had shut down two years ago, and were still listed in the 2011 issue, that was the last straw. Who did the fact checking for the 2011 edition? Who did the editing? Writer's Market used to be one of the most trusted names in reference books for writers. Now it's a sloppy collection of outdated sources. Writers need a source that is credible and accurate. Writer's Market no longer is, and it may be time for something else to take its place.

3.0 out of 5 stars basically a good rescource for writers, August 8, 2010
This review is from: 2011 Writer's Market (Paperback)
I was disappointed to find that some of the information for the publishers and literary agents is outdated or changed. So be careful.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's Okay, but . . ., February 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 2011 Writer's Market (Paperback)
Although this book does what it advertises, technology has passed it by. Anyone with access to the Internet can locate any number of original source websites and databases containing the same information, at no cost. In addition, given the book's intended audience, I was somewhat taken aback by the numerous typo's and grammatical errors it contained. Sloppy editing makes one wonder where else they cut corners.
