Once you've used one of these Plan-It calendars, you are hooked. I've been using them for years and was crushed that the one I used for a few years was discontinued. So I bought one last year by this company. It held up reasonably well, I don't think that the magnet is strong enough.

The one problem with this one this year, 2012, is that the paper quality or the ink quality has changed. Whilst writing in appointments, etc., I noticed that the letters, words of what I had written transferred to the month on the opposite side of the page. This has never happened before.

So, to combat this, I bought several fine pointed felt tipped markers and do not use ball point pens on the calendar. If I must use a pencil, I need to put some heavy weight card stock behind the page I write on so that the pressure does not cause that transfer again.

I won't buy this brand again because of this problem. I don't like that I am stuck trying to avoid ink transfer for another nine to twelve months. Pity, because the size and the colors were perfect.

I had switched from my normal Mom's calendar to this one b/c I liked the look of it. At the end of April, it fell off the fridge. I found that the magnet strip stayed on the fridge but it lost it stickiness from the plastic piece on top of the calendar. I keep 1 sheet of paper in the pocket so it can not be that the calendar was too heavy. I have hot glued the magnetic strip back on to the plastic top 3 times and now about 1 month later finally called the manufacturer. I was hoping to get a new plastic top piece that I can slide on top and hopefully the magnet won't fall off. They said they couldn't do that and that I should try going back to where I bought it (which was from Amazon). She then offered me a discount on a 2013 calendar and I responded, "why would I buy a 2013 from your company?!?!?". I am very disappointed.

I like this calendar..it works well for a family of 5. There is just enough room to write a little note (would like a little more room--but that would make the calendar a bit too big for my wall!)
Would be 5 stars if the stickers that came with it, were in slightly different colors. Some stickers-such as the ones labeled "no school" are the same color as the calendar, so when I do a quick glace at the calendar, they don't really stand out. Not a big deal, but just something that could be changed slightly.

I have purchased this calendar to put on my refrigerator year after year and it does not disappoint. I have purchased other magnetic calendars in the past that come with wimpy magnets that don't hold the thing on the fridge. There is enough room to write in activities and a handy pocket each month to stash small items, tickets, receipts etc. I am happy to see that the calendar also comes in a "grown up" theme as my kids are older now and I can get away from the little kids theme in the kitchen.

I like this calendar. It seems to be made well, but we'll see how it looks after 12 months. I've used several Mom calendars - there was another that I liked better, but it is no longer in production. This one looks nice, I just wish the individual days were a little wider and not so long. I don't use the weekly dry-erase thing or the stickers, so I don't have an opinion on those.

Wanted my usual colorful Mom's Plan-It, but it was all sold out for 2012....got this one instead....same layout, just not as colorful. As I was filling in all my known information for this year, I noticed Good Friday, is actually labled on Thursday, April 5th....
