Number 1 in Deutschland,
This review is from: 2012: Zwanzig Zwolf (Audio CD)
The day has finally come...the new Hanzel und Gretyl album has finally been dropped and unleashed on to the public. 2012: ZWANZIG ZWOLF is a 41 minute blistering, aural assault on the ears, and that is a good thing for this Hanzel und Gretyl fan. 2012 is by far HuG's most aggressive album to date with Loopy's loud, abrasive guitar riffs, Jon Osterman's thunderous drums, and of course Vas Kallas' distinctive coarse, unpolished vocals. Last year I got a sample of what was to come on the band's single OKTOTENFEST with the abrasive, hardcore yet melodic "Fukken Uber Death Party". If OKTOTENFEST was an appetizer to what was to expect from HuG, then 2012: ZWANZIG ZWOLF is the main course. I have been listening to the album for over a week now (I pre-ordered the album via another site) and have been loving the music. 2012: ZWANZIG ZWOLF is classic industrial metal from HuG. Loopy and Vas really knows how to create music that is both aggressive and melodic. What I love about HuG the most is that the band never takes itself so seriously hence the over the top lyrics. The aggressive guitar riffs and Vas Kallas' sinister growling will make the listener forget about the silliness of the lyrics which most of them are in German. For people not familiar with HuG, this music isn't for the faint of heart. Other than wanting more songs, 2012: ZWANZIG ZWOLF is a smashing success. I love every song on the album. The songs are a lot of fun to headbang to at top volume. HuG does it again and gives me another reason to crank up my stereo.

I bought this mainly because H und G make great music for working out at the gym. It really pumps you up. Sure the lyrics are dumb and the artwork on the cd booklet dumber but the music is a lot of fun. I like it better than "Sheissmessiah" but not as much as "Uber Alles" if that tells you anything. There is no new ground broken by the band but if you already like their music then this one probably will not disappoint.

This is the Scheiss - Fukken Uber !,
This review is from: 2012: Zwanzig Zwolf (Audio CD)
HuG get better and better each successive CD. 2012 Zwanzig Zwolf is a loose and fun take on the end of the world in 2012. If you're gonna die, you might as well go out with one big huge Uber Fukken Death Party ! With this CD, HuG stick firmly with the heavy industrial metal and do it like no other Industrial Metal band has done since Static-X's first CD. I actually found out about HuG on a guitar forum discussing Static-X. This CD is so much better than the new Wayne Static CD, not even close, blows it away. Highlights are Fukken Uber Death Party, Loud Und Proud, Number 1 in Deutschland and Das Boot. Heil Hizzle Mein Nizzle will have you laughing your scheisser off. Buy this CD and Get Fukken Uber ! I wish you were a beer(inside joke for those who really know HuG).

HuG pretty much staying on the path we've seen from Uber Alles and Scheissmessiah. This one is a bit heavier, a bit sillier and a bit better than Scheissmessiah. Still doesn't top Uber Alles for that great mixture of style and brutality. In other words it's a must for HuG fans and for those who like it loud und proud and don't take themselves too seriously. Also pick up the Oktotenfest EP because Stern Krieg is better when it starts with an explosion.

Meister Album,
This review is from: 2012: Zwanzig Zwolf (Audio CD)
Good! There are already plenty of excellent reviews for this album. Lionel and others have already said it, an incredible master piece album. I was just listening to it once again, and it occurred to me i have to go to amazon and let it be known for others looking at Zwanzig Zwoelf'' how good it is. I've been studying German since 2002, LiederHosen Macht Frei!
Also check out Eisbrecher, Oomph!, Megaherz, Rammstein, and a personal Favorite <<< Joachim Witt >>> .

HuG's Best album to date! FUKKEN UBER! I believe sums it up. The song "Heil Hizzle Mein Nizzle" is Hilarious! Even if they say only one other thing besides that. Along with "Hail To The Darkside!"
To put it bluntly, you must know what they are saying in order to appreciate this album. Appearances are decieving.

2012 Melted my Brain,

This album is one of the greatest things ever to be heard. Let me explain, this review isn't going to be that helpful because there is no way I can adequately describe with known adjectives the amazing-ness of this album. It is quite literally something I could listen to for hours straight. If you're a HuG fan already there is no reason not to get this. If you're just looking to get into it...maybe start with something a little bit softer like UberAlles. Now to specifics: Ubermensch Uberfrau is a techno-metal masterpiece. Kallas' vocals are excellent. Fukken Uber Death Party was already seen on Oktotenfest 2006, so most already know whether or not they like it. Loud und Proud is one of the first patriotic songs to be headbang worthy. Kaiserreich doesn't have the best beginning, but the vocals shine later on. Deathschlager is one of the heaviest songs on there with the littlest actual keyboard work. #1 in Deutschland is definitely the better of the two extreme-metal patriotic songs on here, with looping throughout. Hail to the Darkside is psuedo-genius, with a Star Wars reference, and amazing instrumentals combining with mixed results. Bavarian Bierhaus Blood is a lyrical masterpiece with alliteration and confuzzlement mixing to make a bashing good time. Das Boot has one of the strongest beats, although it's repetition gets annoying. Heil Hizzle Mein Nizzle...nothing more can be said. Lederhosen Macht Frei is one of those you just can't describe...it's a love it or hate it, I personally love it. Stern Krieg is another from Oktotenfest and has not been changed in the slightest, albeit a shorter beginning. On to Totenhead...my one big gripe with the album; it's the only true flaw in an otherwise perfect album. So ok, there you go, there you have it. A 16 year old guy's opinion on this album. It probably doesn't mean much, but i hope it has helped you. FUKKEN UBER! UND PROST!

You Cant Go Wrong With Explosions and Air Raid Sirens!,

I have to say this album is really great! It is excellent for driving, especially if you are in the mood to commit a heinous act of road rage! Explosions, air raid sirens, and just plain HEAVY METAL await you in this HuG experience. While I have to say that this is my first time listening to a full album of theirs, I really do want to listen to their other stuff too, especially UBER ALLES. THIRD REICH FROM THE SUN is one of their best songs. On this CD, Death Schlager, Ubermensch/Uberfrau, Bavarian Bier Haus Blood, and Das Boot are spectacular. Totenhead is also very good. I highly recommend this....especially if you need something to rock out to when you're having a manic attack!

WOW! What can I say? This has got to be the BEST Hanzel Und Gretyl cd yet. I have to say that I like more songs on this cd than any other HUG cd. I would also have to say that this is definitely their hardest and heaviest album yet! I am not much of a fan of HUG's older stuff, so I enjoy this cd the most! All in all, this is a great cd if you like metal or if you just need some music to headbang.
