I do not know if this is intentional or not, but it certainly seems so.

This is a great addition when traveling to have local repeater info (whether a ham or a person with a scanner to monitor ham, weather warning nets, ).

While this information can be looked up online, sometimes you don't have access to internet data and this small book will come in handy.

The item shown in the picture is not what you will receive. I ordered on Amazon instead of thru ARRL as I saw a spiral bound repeater book which I preferred. I was sent a non-spiral bound book, the same type that you can pick up for less at a hammiest.

Expected spiral bound directory larger than received. Instead got a quite small directory with small print. Useful but hard to read in lesser light conditions.

The repeater tone codes missing for dozens of repeaters. Book should not have been printed unless all info was available.

This is not what arrived. The directory that arrived had a paper binding not a spiral binding, which makes it much difficult to use.

Despite the "Desktop Edition" shown in the product's image, it's really the pocket edition. Two messages to Amazon got no results. One even rep responded that the image was correct! If you look carefully, the image says Desktop Edition at the top, and it is spiral bound. The pocket edition does not have a spiral binding. It's the same size and binding that's been around for a very long time.

Great and concise information. While I wish the print would be a bit larger (for us older individuals) who keep complaining about the print getting smaller. This is a great addition when traveling to have local repeater info (whether a ham or a person with a scanner to monitor ham, weather warning nets, ). Have to say, we'll worth the money for the info, next purchase will be a magnifying glass or high power reading glasses.. I guess it time to join AARP :)

If you are an amateur radio operator and you don't have this book then you don't have what you need to operate on repeaters. There are so many repeaters out there that you can't always have memorized or programmed. Even in today's world with radios that can store 1,000 memories, you wouldn't even be able to scratch the surface of what this book contains. Sure you may know the local ones by just listening but this will get you in the know much faster. I bought mine right before I was taking the test so I would know what I would truly be looking at. It is amazing that these repeaters are up all over the country in these numbers. If you are traveling cross country this book will help you stay in communication on your way. This is the pocket size manual, not the spiral bound desktop version. Very handy to have. Fits in the glovebox with room to spare, or your carry on luggage. If you are bringing your radio, don't leave home without this book. The table top version is obviously larger and being spiral bound stays open easier but this pocket size book is ideal for portability.

I expected a spiral wire binding but instead it is a glued binding, making it very hard to use with one hand or even two hands. It will soon be in the trash can.
