Product Description

BAMF stands for exactly what you think it does. BAMF doesn’t roll like those pretty boys with matching lycra kits and expensive power meters. If you ride a bike, and we mean really ride a bike, you know the cold burn on your face in the dead of winter, the sound of a body hitting the ground and the taste of a warm beer in the morning. You don’t ride so you can shave your legs and drive around town with a bike on the rack hoping to be seen…You hunt those types down and smirk as you rip past leaving them and their GPS and sunblock keychain wondering what the hell happened? All the BAMF bikes are black (like the guys at BAMF are going to fight over color pallets) and come with minimal decal (sticker packs are not included). Bikes are a permanent fixture in their life and they pour that passion into their work. The Piledriver is a serious bike as you can tell from the name. It will turn your world upside-down. The BAMF Piledriver is a steel 700c fat tire fixie ready to kill it! From the single disc brake to the fat-ass tires BAMF has this bike dialed. BAMF spent miles and miles (and beers and beers) getting this whip just right. This bike was made for jumping curbs, giving the middle finger to the gas companies and ripping through town all night. The Piledriver starts with a mean steel fixie frame with extra clearance for big ‘ol 700x40c fatties. The fork is stout as a bouncer at a strip club and has a disc brake up front for those times you find yourself needing to stop in a hurry (beer sale). There’s one beautiful gear 46x16t and nothing but the quiet hum of a fixie drivetrain. There’s a BAMF riser bar and BAMF Brass Knuckle stem holding everything together in the cockpit. The 32-spoked deep dish wheels will keep you pounding through town without a care. That’s the idea of the BAMF Piledriver-there’s enough crap in the world to deal with and your bike shouldn’t be one more problem.

Bought the bike after reading about it online. The components are of good quality (for the price), but the frame leaves much to be desired as you can see from the photos I have posted. When the frame fails before the wheel or fork then you know you've been sold a substandard piece of equipment. The frame should be the strongest of all the pieces of a bicycle, upon which all the components are placed. You expect to replace brakes, tires, wheels, etc. The frame is supposed to last as the other parts wear out, but that is not the case with this bike. They took the cheapest Chinese-made frame and threw some of their decals on it then attached some nice mid-grade components for good measure.

I am now in the position of having to replace the frame out of pocket because the company doesn't consider it a 'manufacturers defect'.

THE FRAME BUCKLED BEFORE THE WHEEL, FORK, OR HANDLEBARS EVEN SHOWED A SIGN OF DAMAGE.... Show me a bike that does that and I'll show you a piece of crap that I just spent too much money on!!!

My new winter beater. Was a great deal for ~$350 after shipping (bought direct from GiantNerd, I'm sure Amazon would update its price to match).
I got the size below I normally would to compensate for potentially having to quickly jump off/forward. Will be a fun bike to also hit off-road trails with in the Summer.
Bike frame/wheels/components are all super stiff. Components are no-name, but the wheels are Weinmann DP18 (that is easily $150 right there!).
Slick 40c's are a bit overkill, but I can ride straight into a curb without pulling up, and feel nothing (also potholes on my daily commute are no longer a worry, which is sweet!).
Super heavy build though (that's what you get for wanting something that can take a beating though). Front disc break was the selling point for me (basically required due to the weight of the bike). Considering getting the Nokian A10's if we get dumped on by more snow/ice this winter.
Additionally, the stock handlebars are way too long, will be trimming ~2" off each side.

Easy to assemble, took less than 30 minutes to unbox and build with just two tools.
Overall good choice!
