Poet's Market includes detailed information about over 1200 publishers of poetry (book publishers, magazines, newsletters, journals, etc) including contact information, what they're looking for, deadlines & submission guidelines.

Whether you would like to publish individual poems or a book, Poet's Market has the information you need to find the right publisher. This is the biggest poetry publisher resource available - and since it's published annually, the information is very up-to-date.

In the book, publishers are categorized by the difficulty of getting published and the type of poetry they publish (e.g., formal, experimental, sonnets, inspirational, nature, love, poems by young writers, etc.). So, you can easily find publishers which are suitable for the type of poems you write. It also lists publishers in many different countries.

Poet's Market explains how to determine which publishers may be right for your work (and which ones arent), and how to go about sending your poems to them for consideration, and the best chances of acceptance.

Also included are some poems, and, very importantly - tips on writing, promoting and dealing with the business side of poetry.

For decades, Poet's Market has been used by novice & experienced poets alike to find places to publish. It's widely considered the "Bible" for publishing poets.

As a poet and publisher, I've been buying it since the 1980s and consider it essential for poets of any experience level. Due to the depth of the information about publishing poetry, Poet's Market will be useful to you, whether you've been publishing your work for years, or have a goal of seeing your work in print for the first time.

I very enthusiastically recommend it. If you're serious about publishing your poetry, you should have this book at hand!

I found a lot of dates not accurate. As far as submissions etc. I like the description, what editors wanted and also the "how" of submissions.

I submitted to Sakura because it was listed and was really disappointed when they showed interest and then revealed themselves to be vanity publishing. Read this review:

i only bought the digital copy, over the physical copy, because the cover says we would have access to the online data base. i feel that the fact they left that on this edition is misleading. i feel as if i've been ripped off by them.

stupid me. i'll never buy a digital product of theirs again.

Any poet looking to be published must have this book. The articles and interviews are a bonus. I first started using Poet's Market in 2010 resulting in many more of my poems being published.

I've always bought "Artist's Market" and "Children's Writer's and Illustrator's Market". This is my first purchase of the Poet's Market. I'm referring to it, using it, several times a week, and I've already had a few successes with it! Also, I was very pleasantly surprised to discover the supplements that give good, clear definitions of many different kinds of poetry, and examples. This part was especially helpful to a new poet like myself! I'll buy the new edition next year!

This purchase arrived quickly and in great shape. The book is updated with various resources to assist poets with understanding how to improve their writing skills and establish a platform for sharing it with the appropriate audience. After reading the first few sections, I better understand the process and how it requires much more analysis and planning to become achieve the intended objectives.
