Classic Brian, September 30, 2006
This review is from: 20th Century Masters (Audio CD)
One of the Best Albums of the year easily. this cat is One of the Most Talented Artists on the Planet period. Songwriter, Producer, Arranger,Vocalist&Multi Instrumentalist. this Cat is a Great Talent. "Anytime" is a timeless Classic. Meshall'Nedeocello should be paying Brian Mcknight for flipping her corny song."Love of my life" showcases the Man's Musicianship along with his strong vocal ability to change up vocal keys&runs. from his natural voice to Falsetto."On the downLow" is tight. I wish Brian would showcase the groove side of himself more often. "I'll take Her" is still banging. "back at One" is a deep felt song that spoke to alot of people. a Very underrated Versatile Musician. alot of folks just don't know how Cold Brian can get Musically. VH1 Soul needs to play his next album all the way through like they do with some of these Bums that get played on there recently. Brian can take alot of these acts to School. this Man is the Nat King Cole of his time. He should be winning some awards for this compilation right now.

He had me at "Back to One", November 28, 2008
This review is from: 20th Century Masters (Audio CD)
Brian McKnight had me at "Back to One." But, as it turns out, he's not just a soulful vocalist. McKnight produces, writes, plays and orchestrates his music.
This is a 10-song compilation of McKnight's best, running at a bit over 45 minutes. My favorites, of course, are the ballads, "Back to One," "Anytime", "One Last Cry" and "The Only One for Me."
