Even without "Holy Ghost"....,
By
This review is from: 20th Century Masters: Millennium Collection (Audio CD)
Granted, this collection is without "Holy Ghost," but it's still a good collection of their stuff before they got too outrageous with "Banging the Walls" and other such stuff. "Move Your Boogie Body" is a funk classic that one cannot help but to like (the synth-violins in the middle is an amusing touch), although most of their later tunes sunded like remakes of this one. "Shine" sounds like a close cousin of EW&F's "On Your Face," (which is not a bad thing at all), but this is still worth the budget price.

Shake your Rump to the Funk,
This review is from: 20th Century Masters: Millennium Collection (Audio CD)
huge Bar Kays fan. all of there Jams with Allen Jones on Production and the strong Vocal talent of Larry Dotson along with Orginal Bar Kay James Alexender on Bass and Winston Stewart holding down the Bam Boards makes for some Slamming funk. Move your Boogie Body is my joint as is "Hit and Run". always dug the way the Bar Kays Grooved. the Jams here are bumping for a Cook Out and Beyond. the Memphis Funk is in da House.
