5.0 out of 5 stars Great!
I love this CD!! I finally got the oppurtunity to get "Knucklehead" on CD, which is a highly sampled song. All of the big favorites are on here. Of course, with Grover having so many wonderful hits, it will miss some...BUT the original songs in their unbutchered state are present and accounted for!! Mr. Magic, It Feels So Good, Knucklehead, Do Dat and A Secret Place are...

3.0 out of 5 stars Some Good Groovin Tunes
Grover Washington Jr. could should play a smooth yet grooving saxaphone. This compilation features several stretched out jams such as Mister Magic, Inner City Blues, Knucklhead, and It Feels So Good.

There is a good balance between smooth jazz numbers and some dancing R & B. Somehow I prefer the overlooked CD Strawberry Moon as those tunes have more focus...

5.0 out of 5 stars Know what? It feels so good..., June 1, 2000
...some of the late Grover's early and trademark cuts from his Rudy Van Gelder/CTI/Bob James-y/Motown years sound ever so good in this 20th Century Millenium collection. I've found a lot of these 20th Cent. CD's lacking, but not this one. First, all of Grover's jams here have been digitally remixed. Por ehemplay, guitar runs you've never noticed before come right 'atcha in the forefront...plus, my favorite Grover jam, "Knucklehead"--in it's full seven minutes and then some seconds glory--is included. Bravo! Provissimo! (Now. Where's "The Sea Lion"?) Finally, how can you beat this much good music for the price? This, you'll love. I guarantee.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Sophistication..., June 17, 2004
This CD is a collection of GWJr's truly intelligent, genius works in 1970s.
Rhythmical jazz-bop-funk masterpieces (Knucklehead, Mister Magic, It Feels So Good)
are featured in one CD, along with lyrical saxophone tunes.
Technical yet gentle, funky yet romantic... what more can one ask for?

Especially great for those who were previously introduced to GWJr via 80's/90's
smooth jazz (as in "Just The Two Of Us") but have not yet explored his another side
of jazz genius. This CD plus "Soulful Strut" ("Can You Stop The Rain") makes the
perfect best collection for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Boyfriend Loved this!, May 25, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased this item for my boyfriend Ivan to give to listen. He loves Grover and I will probably buy more Grover Washington for him to add to his Jazz collection. Ivan is from Bulgaria and I don't know if they have this kind of music in his country. Right now he is on vacation in Bulgaria but will return next month and I hope to introduce him to more great Jazz music.

This review is from: 20th Century Masters: Millennium Collection (Audio Cassette)
I have seen so many of these 20th Century Masters millenium collections, yet I didn't even know that so many were made.
I own the ones by L.T.D, Jeffrey Osbourne, Gladys Knight, Temptations, Parliament,Grover, and Roy Ayers. also Eric B. & Rakim & Public Enemy all of these are also recommendations. oh yeah, Commodores, Minnie Riperton, Marvin Gaye & Smokey Tobinson too. If you don't havr them yet, you would not be wasting your money but you would waste your time downloading them. 5 stars on each one.
