5.0 out of 5 stars More of his albums need to be back in print!
Autry De Walt Jr. (that's Jr. Walker to you) was an underrated genius. He made his sax sing and talk and the All-Stars coukld take on James Brown's JB's any day! There is not a bad song in the bunch (Shotgun, Road Runner, What Does It Take, etc.) They all rocjk, but more of Jr. Walker's great albums (Jr. Walker Live, Road Runner, The Shotgun CD, Peace and Understanding is...

3.0 out of 5 stars Mr Shotgun
This is a great collestion of Junior Walker's work. I like many of his songs and the way he play the saxophone. He plays good versions of songs from other motown greats. I think shotgun is his best song.

4.0 out of 5 stars Underrated and often imitated, October 7, 2011
This is not a bad collection of Mr. Walker's. These cuts let you know just why he could open a show for any Motwon artist as well as close the show for them as well. Featured cuts include: Shotgun, Cleos Back and many others. This is just another reason why I keep apllying for jobs at recod companies but, I am beginning to thinkl they don't want the good stuff out in the market. Junior is best when you hear him live or through analog. Oh yeah, he's funky. His sax riffs can be heard on so many artist under the Motown banner it is simply ridiculous that he did not get more acclaim during his time at Motown. This is a great place to start for the novice, and for those of you that just want to go back down memory lane. This collections flows almost as good as the compilations I make, almost, anyway get this CD for some serious soulful up tempo tenor sax grooving. YOu can't miss with this one. Many a party stayed funky with Junior blowing his sax, you can believe that.

The item came on time, and the container was rough, what you can't expect brand new for $5. The CD is very good, especially the track 'What Does It Take'. Glad I bought it. No problems here.

4.0 out of 5 stars What Does It Take, March 19, 2009

Always swinging Jr. Walker and the All Stars songs. Motown knew they had a great sax player and he does a great job in all his songs. I saw him perform here in Philadelphia Uptown and was not disappointed at all and this cd is no disappointment at all. Great songs I love them all. "These Eyes", I love singing to.

My grandfather could blow that saxaphone! Where did he get the air or the energy? I just love his music!

Many accolades and awards are due him. I plan to uphold his name so that his legacy lives on!

Buy his music and continue to "Shake and Fingerpop!"
