...because if you love the Tempts like I do, you already own these songs on other so-called "greatest hits" CDs or the original albums. This MILLENNIUM COLLECTION is merely a sampling of the incredible music that the Temptations have made over the years...a series like this doesn't really serve a group of their magnitude very well. So-so to start out with if you have absolutely NO Tempts music or if you aren't really a fan of theirs and you want to know what all the hype surrounding them is about.

It's clear that Motown/Universal is once again doing what they do so well: repackaging the same old hits that everyone has already on other Tempts CDs with a shiny, new look, because they know that it is pretty much classic Motown music like this that is keeping the ghost of this once-great label from going under! I gave this CD three stars only because The Tempts are one of my favorite groups and I like the songs on it, but honestly, this is a waste. Do NOT buy this CD - spend your money on ANTHOLOGY or the original albums instead, where the work of this magificent group can be better represented and appreciated.

Motown should stop putting together "a little bit of this, a little bit of that" collections and stick to re-releasing and re-mastering the fabulous original albums... those are fantastic but this is silly!

theirs a whole New Generation Growing up Today who have never heard these Classics or People who weren't exposed to the Temptations so this is a Solid Collection of material&aGreat Introduction too one of Musics Greatest Groups.My Girl alone is Worth the Price.so Many Great SOngs.it's a Great Welcome.

Universal could, of course, have put both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 on the same disc (22 songs total). And music companies wonder why CD sales are down/illegal downloads are up. Universal isn't the only offender in the cheapskate sweepstakes, but it certainly leads the pack. Great artists, and great music, done in by greed. Very sad.

I am a (as another reviewer put it) "die-hard" temptations fan. Always have been. Infact, my latest thing going on is trying to get their rare 80's albums [Together Again, Special, To Be Continued, etc] on CD. It is truly amazing that you can find the songs available in this particular collection on countless "greatest hits" collections. Save your money and buy the Emperors of Soul Box Set. You won't be disappointed.

Who really benefits from this CD being on the market? Casual Temptations fans already had similar (and similarly skimpy) collections to choose from. More serious fans have the "Ultimate Collection" or "Anthology" compilations. The diehards have the "Emperors of Soul" box set. So, who REALLY benefits from this CD being on the market? The honchos at Universal. They get to line their pockets with more of our hard-earned money.

Loved the product but of the 5 cd's I ordered, 3 arrived with cracked cases. The cd's themselves were fine but you might want to consider marking or packing them better to "encourage" the post office not to merely toss them over the fence for delivery.

After seeing the Movie "The Temptations" I knew I wanted this Album. it has all the great Mowtown Hits of the Temptations. it is worth buying and keeping in your dance collection. 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection Vol. 1/The '60s (The Best of the Temptations)

If you're a new fan (like I was when I 1st bought this) then this is a good CD for you to purchase but if you're a die-hard fan don't buy it cuz most likely you already have all of these songs! I bought this CD a year ago & now I can't get enough of The Tempts!

I purchased and paid for this item over a month ago. The money came from my account days later, but I have yet to receive the item!!
