5.0 out of 5 stars I Got Rythm
20th Century Rocks, Volume Nine: '60s Vocal Groups - I Got Rhythm is forty-nine minutes and forty-nine seconds long and was released on May 13, 1997. Of the twenty songs on it, only two are original recordings. The rest are stereo recordings. The two are: The Vogues-You're The One and The Castells-So This is Love. Only three songs on the CD went to number one and the one...

1.0 out of 5 stars Very poor
Once again, another cd which appears to have some good songs on it, only to find out that they are all "new stereo recordings" - not the originals. Do not buy it.

1.0 out of 5 stars If I Could Give It a Zero, August 20, 2000
This review is from: 20th Century Rocks, Vol. 9: '60s Vocal Groups - I Got Rhythm (Audio CD)
Purchasing this CD was a good lesson for me. I should have read the customer review. It was absolutely right. The songs included are by the groups indicated, but they are not the original recordings. Listen to Just Like Romeo & Juliet, a song I am very fond of, and the last note held is rather pitiful to say the least. These must have been recorded at least 25-30 years after the initial recordings. Denise is just awful. I would give it a zero if I could. I will be much more careful in the future.

1.0 out of 5 stars BEWARE! CD can be broken!, May 8, 1999
By A Customer
I had to return 2 to Amazon. This is supposed to be the 60's but actually has 70's music burned onto it. Beware of the company.

It would have been OK had it had the correct music on it.

I am suprised Amazon has not removed it from their catalog yet.

1.0 out of 5 stars One Star Is Too Much, March 27, 1999

Beware Dominion Records' products! A CD like this contains no warning that the songs are not the originals. If that's okay with you, great--but most of us would like to know that what we're buying is legitimate. Find these songs elsewhere on better CDs.

I liked the songs. However I wanted Denise. It's not on this album anywhere. In fact ALL the songs listed are NOT on this CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars I Got Rythm, January 5, 2009
This review is from: 20th Century Rocks, Vol. 9: '60s Vocal Groups - I Got Rhythm (Audio CD)
Only three songs on the CD went to number one and the one who held that spot the longest is Blue Moon by The Marcels. Blue Moon lasted three weeks at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. If you want a trip down memory lane, then the songs on this CD will provide that. Now if you are one of those people that must have only original recordings, then I suggest you spend a lot of money for the artist's individual albums and don't buy compilation. 20th Century Rocks, Volume Nine: '60s Vocal Groups - I Got Rhythm gets an AA++.
