Much needed recording of the John Williams Tuba Concerto (1985) by Oystein Baadsvik! Tempos tend to be on the fast side for my taste, but still capably performed to great effect. The Arutiunian Concerto is a nice addition as well since there hasn't been a new recording of it since the mid-90's. Lundquist is a nice addition, but I prefer the Michael Lind recording and of course the John Fletcher recording of the Vaughan-Williams is the standard in my opinion. This is a great new album Oystein has provided for us and should be in everyone's library!
