I used to have the two EP's and split single that comprise this CD and the 2001 remaster sounds great. Oh yeah, they weren't from san diego! Do your homework, kiddies.

Pure San Diego,

The VSS are the quintisential "San Diego" band (the scene that brought you Swing Kids, Heroin, Spanakorzo, the Locust, Crimson Curse, Festival of Dead Dear, etc.) and have the unique capability to write aggressive rock songs that pulse and drone without being boring. For a CD that is a collection of several different 7"s, this CD is remarkably even and consistent in its high quality and is easily as good as Nervous Circuits. I am so into it!

Excellent album. The band has split with Josh, David, and Andy going to form Pleasure Forever (aka Slaves) and Sonny going to the Locust I believe. Check them both out.
