Although I am not a procrastinator in all areas of my life, there are certain parts that I definitely struggle with the “I’ll do it tomorrow/next week/next month/when I can” mentality. Granted, some of those areas are not ‘fixable’ at the moment. For example, moving across the country. But other areas – writing my first novel, for example – are within my complete control. Unfortunately, in those fixable areas of my life, I’ve had the horrible habit of putting things off. I’ve even given up on things that I wanted to do because they’ve sat on the shelf for so long.

Enter in 21 Un-Procrastination Tips.

This book could not have come into my life at a better time. I’d been sitting on a novel for nearly two years. I’d become stuck, and had even started to wonder if I would ever be the author I’d dreamed of being since my childhood. Since reading this self-help book, I have found the roadblocks and negative thinking patterns that have held me back. The fear of failing, the worry over it not being ‘perfect’ enough. But more than that, I figured out how to break away from some of those procrastination habits.

Since reading this self-help book, I’ve written more than I had in more than six months. I’ve rediscovered the joy of writing fiction. Plus, I’ve unhinged a couple of other areas of procrastination – nothing too major, just things I’d been putting off until “later.”

Whether you struggle with general procrastination, or something specific, you’re sure to find real, honest tips in here. More than that, you’ll find the reasons WHY you procrastinate so that you can effectively tackle the issue head-on.

This book covers the substantial basics and more. I like it that we need to know where we are before we move forward and that is amply covered in the why we procrastinate part.
I think the book is very practical and easily read so even procrastinators can simply gain lots from the book.
I found there are lots of great ideas that are simple to implement to overcome the negatives of procrastination.
Well done on a very productive work.

Reading the book I could relate to the stories and became aware that I do a lot of procrastination.Great tips on overcoming procrastination with having a list what to do. Also asking oneself a few questions why we need not to do the task when schedule but wait until the last minute. This is now an an external hard drive and I take it with me to work.

Good to go back when stuck and read again, as new habits only become good habits after 4 to 6 weeks with constant practice.

The quote at the end of the book inspired me not to say I do it tomorrow but at least start today:

"One day you will wake up and there won't be any more time to do the things you've always wanted. Do it now."
